We forge alliances, support local river groups and help create grassroots organizations for watershed protection. Our current focus is on two watersheds in York County, those of the Mousam and Kennebunk Rivers. We’ve supported the creation of the Mousam and Kennebunk Rivers Alliance. Member of the Alliance are working on updating the fisheries restoration and management plans. We’ve also started up a volunteer water quality testing program on the Mousam and Kennebunk Rivers, and are working on assessing habitat quality along the waterways, surveying fish communities, and coordinating information about projects in the watersheds.
